It is with heavy hearts that Badminton BC shares the news of the sudden passing of former Badminton BC President and founder of Black Knight, Gil Murray on August 31st 2016 after a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease. Gil touched the lives of so many badminton players and was a staunch champion of Badminton BC.
Gil was a hardworking man his whole life, whether it was building a business from the ground up, fishing, fundraising or loving, he did nothing half way. The badminton & golf communities benefited from his involvement for many years. He was the founder of Black Knight.
A Celebration of Life will take place on September 11, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Operating Engineers Hall, 4333 Ledger Ave., Bby. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Country Meadows Senior Men's Golf Club referencing Gil's pet project, prostate cancer research.
