Greater Vancouver Recreational Open Eligibility Policy
GVRO tournaments are for recreational players only. If you played at the last GVRO, you are eligible to play in all GVRO tournaments.
If you have played in the BC Seniors Games (but not in a Masters Circuit tournament), you are eligible to play.
High school and elementary school players are eligible (but cannot have played in any Badminton BC sanctioned tournaments in 2009-10).
Players who are not currently eligible for 2010 GVRO tournaments:
1. Players who have been on the Badminton BC or Badminton Canada Ranking list for the 2008-09 season or for the 2009-10 season.
2. People who have played in Badminton BC age group sanctioned (Junior A or B) tournaments (U10 to U19) or at Senior/Open Badminton BC or Badminton Canada sanctioned tournaments.
3. Players that have played in BC Masters Circuit tournaments in 2008-09 and 2009-10.
4. Players that have played in any Badminton BC Provincial Championships OR National Championships in 2009 or are planning to play in the 2010 Provincial Championships OR National Championships.
