Badminton BC’s Bid Selection Committee received many robust applications to host the presitigous pair of events, which demonstrates just how dedicated and passionate the support base for badminton remains in British Columbia. After meeting on April 9th to review the bids and deliberate, the Committee reached a decision to award VTLBC the title of Host Club for the BC Junior and Senior Elite Series events.
The Committee is satisfied with its decision to partner with VLTBC, which has a long history of successfully hosting Badminton BC events, and boasts a gold standard playing facility for the athletes.
“Badminton BC looks forward to again working with Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club and its Badminton Committee in the delivery of these Elite events,” said Penny Gardner, Executive Director of Badminton BC.
The Elite Series is a Badminton Canada property and as such provides an annual hosting opportunity. Badminton BC is committed to ensuring all its member clubs have opportunity to bid each year. The next opportunity to bid for the BC Junior and Senior Elite series events will come in February 2016.
