This is a friendly reminder from Badminton BC to renew your Badminton BC Membership for the 2010-2011 season.
The 2010-2011 Membership Season will commence on June 1, 2010.
Based on the success from the past couple of seasons, the Board of Badminton BC is pleased to announce that it will continue to offer Badminton BC Membership for 2010-2011 at the 2009-2010 rate of $15.00/Member.
To renew your Badminton BC Membership, please either:
- Ensure that your Club will be submitting your BBC Membership on your behalf; or
- Individually complete BBC's Online Membership Form; or
- Make alternate arrangements for registration by contacting Badminton BC.
It is encouraged that all badminton players in the Province of British Columbia register their Membership with Badminton BC.
There will be a change to the timing of the 2010-2011 Membership season. The 2010-2011 Membership season will be June 1, 2010 to May 31, 2011. Historically, the Badminton BC Membership season has been from September 1 to August 31 every year, with the 2009-2010 Membership season being an interim year from September 1, 2009 to May 31, 2010. Each subsequent year will be from June 1 to May 31.
This eventual transformation has been adopted by the Board of Badminton BC for two primary reasons:
- To align Badminton BC's Membership Year with the fiscal year (June 1 to May 31); and
- To encourage participants of summer Badminton programs to become Badminton BC Members by allowing them to participate in other Badminton BC programs for the rest of the Membership season.
Please note that the Membership timing change will not affect the Member benefit of Badminton BC Insurance for clubs and/or players.
