Coaches play an important role in an athlete’s personal and physical development. The tremendous contributions of coaches to the BC community are realized through coaching dedication and hard work.
BC Athlete Voice and Coaches BC want to recognize:
BC coaches who have made exceptional contributions to development in terms of athlete personal growth as sport leaders.
Example: a coach that helped someone overcome an obstacle, improve in some personal way outside of performance.
BC coaches who make personal community contributions.
Example: volunteer coaches, paid coaches who have championed an idea or cause.
BC coaches who have overcome personal challenges or obstacles.
Example: a coach who has endured a personal health challenge.
Please note: These aren’t the only reasons your coach can be great! These are examples. If your coach has gone above and beyond, we want to hear about it!
Nomination Criteria:
Coach must be a member of Coaches BC
Coach must coach a sport with a recognized PSO (i.e. Badminton BC)
Coach may not have won an ACE award in any year prior
