Following a successful hosting of the 2012 BWF World Seniors Championships, Badminton BC is privileged to host the 2013 Canadian Masters April 22-27 at Clearone Badminton Centre’s Browngate location.
With a passionate organizing committee and a flurry of last minute activity, a great many accomplishments were achieved in the 4 months prior to the 2012 BWF event. With almost 8 months to the start of this season’s Canadian Masters we are in a good position to far exceed any experience previously provided at a major badminton competition in British Columbia. That being said we must get to work ASAP and are looking for motivated volunteers to form the event organizing committee for these 2013 Canadian Masters.

Previous experience with event hosting is an asset but by no means a requirement. An additional benefit to hosting events such as this is the opportunity for transfer of knowledge from our experienced volunteers to those who will help carry the torch into the future. If you are passionate in one or more of the following areas we would love to involve you in this amazing opportunity.
- Venue Setup (floor plan, pipe and drape, seating, etc.)
- Social Events (themed dinner/dance, opening event, closing banquet, etc.)
- Fundraising (cash sponsorship, value in kind (non-cash sponsorship), donations, etc.)
- Player Services (communication, transportation, gift bag, etc.)
- Volunteers (recruitment, training, and management of volunteers)

Note - Venue hosting rights for Provincial Championships as well as all National and International events in the 2013/2014 season will require that the applicant have at least 2 representatives on a similar organizing committee this season with at least one of those representatives chairing the committee of the event that is being applied for.
