SHUTTLETIME

 

NCCP ShuttleTime is an instructional based course designed for teachers and recreational instructors who are introducing badminton to students or players.  It was developed by Badminton World Federation and adapted by Badminton Canada and Badminton BC.  The NCCP Shuttle Time certification is for school teachers, recreation center instructors or coaches, and new or inexperienced coaches.  Even coaches who have many years of experience will find useful information in the workshop. LOCAL UMPIRE

 

This course is the first step along BC's umpiring pathway and designed to provide participants with the introductory knowledge, the training and the confidence to umpire matches during a competition.  The learning objectives cover the laws of badminton, scoring on a scoresheet, verbiage, and practical on-court sessions.  The course fee includes 8 hours of classroom and practical training combined, a workbook and a log book. For a full description of the various development pathways for Technical Officials, CLICK HERE.

This workshop is the second step along BC's umpiring pathway and designed to provide participants with an opportunity to review their local umpire knowledge.  Participants will practice verbiage, discuss scenarios and umpire with line judges. LINE/SERVICE JUDGING SESSION

 

Free practice session to give experience working with and as official judges who any umpire may encounter while working a tournament.
