School Badminton Clinic – A Full Introduction To Badminton
Experience Badminton! A fun introduction to the sport of badminton with nationally certified coaches who specialize in teaching physical literacy in conjunction with the prescribed learning outcomes of each grade. Badminton is a great activity for developing agility, balance, coordination, speed, endurance and flexibility for participants of all levels. Our basic program provides each student with four sessions covering grip and racquet awareness, serve and serve return, basic lifts, drops, net shots, and clears. Students will be provided with plenty of opportunity to learn and practice the skills in a fun and safe environment that encourages constant participation. Our coaches will educate both students and teachers with a number of modified games and practice ideas that will encourage continued participation in badminton and daily physical activity. Racquets and shuttles are provided during all sessions. If you do not have badminton nets or posts, not to worry! Simply identify this in your application and Badminton BC is happy to bring our own.
Cost: $7.00 per participant
Clinics: FOUR 40-45 minute classes per class/division
Instruction: in English
An alternative to the above mentioned program would be for the school to set up a tailored program suited to their environment (i.e. instruction for more than 4 sessions, tournaments for the school or a group of schools, after school programs, etc). Programs, costs, and availability can be discussed with the contacts below.
Badminton BC has equipment deals with major manufacturers and distributors for racquets, shuttles, nets, and bags. This program includes school, student, and teacher equipment pricing.
