Hosted by Badminton BC and ShuttleSport Douglas College Academy, the 2011 Black Knight BC Provincial Championships will be taking place this weekend, April 8-10, 2011 at Pinetree Community Centre in Coquitlam.
The 2011 Black Knight BC Provincial Championships Draws are now available for viewing.
After some re-planning around the scheduling of court times, we are pleased to announce that junior players in the U16 and U19 are invited to 'play up' into a maximum of one additional discipline of the OPEN category. This is to allow those players wishing to gain some more experience or who are in the top bracket of their age group to stretch themselves further.
For those players who have already entered you may go online, login with your tournament planner account and modify your entry directly. If you have difficulties please contact Ken Thiesen at 604-333-3595 or info@badmintonbc.com and he can modify your entry manually.
Please Note: By playing more than one age group, you may be asked to play several matches in a row and periods of rest between matches is solely at the discretion of the tournament committee.
The March 31st entry deadline is still in effect so please make any modifications or register ASAP if you have not done so already.
For the first time, Badminton BC is bringing all closed categories of Provincial Championships together under one roof. Hosted by the ShuttleSport Douglas College Academy we will celebrate the end of the local 2010/11 competitive season and crown our PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS!
The 2011 Black Knight BC Provincial Championships will be taking place April 8-10, 2011 with information and registration now posted at www.bcbadmintonprovincials.ca.
Badminton BC hopes that this event will provide participants with a chance to share a competitive experience with the entire BC Badminton community. If we can come together at events such as this then we can help set the stage for a more inclusive, well coordinated and athlete centered approach to competitions in our province. We are calling on all clubs, players, coaches and officials to show their support by participating in the 2011 BC Badminton Provincials.
In return for your support we will be providing CASH PRIZES for Open event winners, great MERCHANDISE PRIZES, all shuttles free of charge, tournament T-shirts, medals for all Winners, R-ups, and Third Place finishers, plus if you register before 11:59pm March 24th you will be entered in the EARLY BIRD DRAW for additional prizes at the event including $100 CASH!
