Adult and Youth Outdoor group sport
Outdoor sports for all ages are allowed, that includes practices, games and tournaments.
Maximum participants: Adult (i.e. 22 and over) Outdoor Sport Activities - up to 50 including participants, coaches, managers, trainers and officials.
Children and Youth Outdoor sport activities have no maximum participants.
Outdoor Spectators - maximum 50.
Adult & Youth Indoor group and team sport
Games, tournaments and competitions for indoor group sports are allowed!!
Physical distancing in the field of play - not required - that means we can play doubles!!
Physical distancing off the field of play – 2 metres
Maximum group size - 50 including participants, coaches, managers, trainers and officials.
High Performance Athletes
High performance athletes already training in B.C. as of November 19, 2020 can train, travel and compete together. They must follow the COVID-19 safety protocols of the provincial or national sports organization they are affiliated with.
To qualify as a high-performance athlete, you must be identified by the Canadian Sports Institute Pacific as a high-performance athlete affiliated with an accredited provincial or national sports organization.
CSI-P identified athletes do not have a maximum group size for outdoor sport activities, but must adhere to all other Step 2 rules.
For Indoor sports - still no spectators
Outdoor sport - maximum 50 spectators
Provincial travel restriction lifted. Recreational travel including sport - within BC only.
While masks are optional in the field of play, however, masks are still required for everyone in many public indoor settings, especially off the field of play, as outlined in the EPA mask mandate order.
