While hitting and playing in her own preparations for a game at the club, VLTBC's Head Badminton Professional, Ram Nayyar, approached Anna to do a session with some kids that were attending a camp being conducted by Asger Madsen, English National Coach. Anna kindly consented and spent some time answering questions and relating stories from her own personal life and experiences as related to Badminton. The youth were inspired to see a Canadian doing as well as she is. Her message: "Believe in yourself and know that Canadians can compete with the best in the world."
Anna, a native of North Vancouver and currently ranked 32nd in Women's Singles, has been training in Denmark and is currently preparing for the 2008 Olympics in Beijing where the first badminton match will take place August 9th.
