Badminton BC | Building Gender Equity Team
Jul052025
Badminton BC has partnered with the Canadian Women & Sport to implement the Gender Equity Playbook. The Gender Equity Playbook provides a collaborative review and assessment of sport organizations’ policies, programs, and practices through a gender equity lens. Badminton BC is very excited to participate in this initiative with an action plan to encourage girls and women to start and maintain playing in sport. The first step is to build a Gender Equity Team. This is a "call out" for interest to join. To learn more, understand the time commitment and what is expected, join our info session 7:00 PM Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
Registration Link for the info session (please register as well as ensure your Badminton BC membership is current) https://forms.gle/HQ6vz8ZGq5sKZP6r6. Registering for the info session does not mean you are committed to continue.

Organizations build their competencies and confidence by establishing solid internal policies, processes and programs through exploration and gender equity gaps resolution. The design of the Playbook aims to enable organizations to tackle complex issues without feeling overwhelmed. It has been designed in a way to help keep organizations on track, anticipate next steps, and support communication about the program to internal and external stakeholders.
